And if i do the powertrain, how much will it cost, and how much hp will I gain?
a 4.6 sohc engine with low miles can be had for $1750, a cobra engine can be had for as low as $2200 (note the ecu and harness will cost extra) transmissions can be had for $1400 or less, and an 8.8 trak lok rear end can be had for under $200. Horsepower depends on the engine you choose, I know a place that sells the terminator powertrains complete for $10,500, but you still need the rear end upgraded. If you were to get a 4.6 sohc get a windsor block (they were in 99 and 00 GT's) they make 260hp/302 ft lbs. The 2001-2004 4.6 sohc were romeo blocks that made 245 hp (with higher engine compression). If you wanna go for cheap v6 performance, start with rear end gears 3.55's or 3.73's at least (gears $180, install $200-$300) cold air intake ($100), exhaust ($400) and a tuner ($300). With those mods you should be somewhere in the low 14's for a quarter mile.
