Hi guys. My 2010 Ford Bantam left rear wheel cylinder seems to be sweating
a bit of brake fluid . I want to change it but just need to get the brake drum
off. I'm trying to avoid taking the hub off but if thats the easier option , I will
just go ahead and do it . Do I need to remove the wheel bearing in order to
take the brake drum off ? I see there is a packing nut with a cage that seems
to be holding the drum in place .I have replaced cylinders on a golf and other
vehicles but this is slightly different. Any advice would be appreciated .

The nut holding the Brake drum in position is a "Pack nut" . Remove the dust cap off the in centre and undo the pack nut. The drum should come off quite easily, using levers on either side of the brake drum.
