what kind of engine can i put in a 2000 ford focus besides the 2.0L zetec DOHC and 2.0L SOHC?

any other motor would be too tough to swap in. just go turbo, much easier and cheaper.

Agreed. Build, turbo, done. Just make sure you BUILD FIRST. Don't assume that you can throw a kit on there and expect everything to be fine, at least not for long. Try JE pistons for some forged pistons and rods.

I wouldnt waste money on an engine swap for a Focus. Just do your bolt-ons and save money for a real tuner car, not a domestic.
