why wont my maf fit on my aftermarket intkate

i recently purchased two different cold air intakes for my 2007 focus and both of the
places to put the factory maf sensor are to small. do i need to get a different maf or even
put a maf in from an older model focus

if you have the right kit for your car, then you should be able to install the factory MAF sensor. sounds like you got the wrong kits. contact the manufacturer of the kit.
