do i need to change coolant temp sensor?

Unfortanetly no one can give you a definite answer on that because they would have to check the sensor. But yes it could be the coolant temp sensor, or it could even be the thermostat. You can try to replace that first but like I said before, I wouldn't go replacing things without it getting looked at by a technician
