Oil pressure gauge issues

I have a 2000 ford excursion and I recently
started to have issues with the oil pressure
gauge jumping around sometimes it drops
down to L and the light turns on but then
goes back up to normal,nothing has been
done to the truck it’s completely stock what
could the issue be ?
