I need an engine for my 1976 gt
No one is going to have an engine that frequents this area. It's going to be a hard find. It uses an aluminum block that tend to crack. Have you considered replacing with a 350 V8 engine?
You might be better off selling what you have for scrap and buy another car, it's not worth saving.
I disagree with tennisshoes on this one. These cars are becoming classics in their own way. Tom's suggestion is one good option but the engine bay is big so almost anything can be put in it. A Toyota 22R might be a sweet swap.
