Just had a rock hit windshield on the corner of the area where review mirror is attached. In the dotted area of 2009 Forester. Would that effect the check engine light, cruise blinking to come on?

Just had a rock hit windshield just on edge of dotted sensor part where rear
view mirror attaches. Check Engine light and cruise are blinking along with the
squiggly yellow and car. Is there any connection between the rock and lights
coming on? It hit pretty hard.

Well the only way to tell is bring your car into a parts store like Advanced or Auto Zone, (they will red it for free) have them scan for the codes and see what shows up..
need more info it could it could have also been something that the BCM didn't find when the car started fix it and see if they go off
No. That 'dotted area' is nothing but anti-glare. It's not connected to anything, is not a sensor, and will not not affect DTC's. Was the CEL blinking before or began at the time of the rock impact? Also, a blinking CEL indicates a more serious problem than a steady on
CEL not blinking. Cruise light is. Didn't think they could be connected, just a weird coincidence that it happened simultaneously.Took to our mechanic. He put on machine and reset CEL. Said it was converter. Bummer two things in one.
