what does p1744 mean?

The car accelerates very slowly like it is pulling posssibly and then it kicks into the gear when has warmed I you say that.

P1744 TCC Excessive slip detected. Excessive slip detected during full TCC engagement. Torque converter disengaged. EPC pressure at minimum. May activate MIL , in short it means you have excessive torque convertor slippage, check condition of fluid,could be TCC solenoid or internal problem,hope this helps
