Blown head gasket

Asked by She'Jean May 19, 2018 at 10:17 PM about the 2004 Dodge Stratus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the radiator, water pump,
and thermostat. Now the car runs hot
instantly and the reservoir boils very badly
like its about to explode. I even bought a
new radiator cap.

I am guessing you might have put the Thermostat in backwards? or the wrong one? pull your plugs look at them closely if the element on any plug is gone, or not the same as others, turn motor over( disconnect coil wire, so won't start) look for water shooting out of cly? check oil is it over full ? any white or gray color in the oil?

Sounds like a massive compression leak into the cooling system. Bad head gasket is my guess.
