Bright lighs and tail light don't work.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought a 1988 Chevy C1500.  Bright and park lights don't work. Have
headlights on dim only. Brake lights work but tail lights don't. Wondering if
anyone has any ideas about this.

First check the fuses and clean all the light bulb sockets and connections. Your headlight high beams might just be burnt out. If your dash lights are also out then replacing the fuse probably will fix the tail light problem as they are on the same circuit.
