Haven't figured it out

Asked by Jeremiah Oct 18, 2017 at 09:10 PM about the 2005 Dodge Neon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When my 05 nsrt4 broke. I was doing a pull . When
shifting into third it was grinding . I thought it was
just me but when it did it went in like nothing .
When I let go of the clutch, rpms fell to idle as if it
were in neutral. It was stuck In gear after that . I
changed the linkage cables thinking it was that. I
managed to get In neutral through the shift
selector cover . Haven't tried anything since.  Could
this be 3/4 shift fork? Or a synchro? Thanks.

If I read it right then //Does the clutch disengage ? If not I suspect clutch/pressure plate is seized.
