disable antitheft system on a 2005 dodge Durango R/T

Asked by Feb 09, 2016 at 12:11 PM about the 2005 Dodge Durango

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My only key broke off in the ignition and was
still able to drive it now it only runs for a few
seconds then shuts off. How can I bypass
the security system so that I can get it
started. I have cancer and am not currently
working and I need to be able to go to my
chemotherapy appts. Please help.

sorry you can't, the key needs to be removed and you will need to get a new one made and programmed. So for now you will have to get a ride from a friend family member or a taxi.
