how do you open the hood when latch from inside car is broken?

If its just the pull handle that's broke you should be able to use a set of pliers to pull the cable that the handle was attached to.

Two feet of the cable wire came out of the inside of the car handle. So that means the rest of it is inside the engine, I guess. I can get to the lever to open the hood but it doesn't open, so I guess I need the ability to unlatch the first latch that comes from inside the car. So is there a magic latch I don't know about. . .?

remove inner fender well you can get to cable driver side
