09 Hyundai sonata 3.3 Oil leaking near serpentine belt
My serpentine belt ripped one day on my 09 sonata
so i had to get it fixed i did then the next day new
belt broke again took it back got it fixed but while
fixing the serpatine belt and possibly switching out
a pull the mechanic person i think caused the
engine oil leak and now im trying to figure out what
could have caused it anyone have a idea of what it
could be? Its not oil pan i had that stuff checked as
well and a oil gasket replaced.
I think you have a broken shaft the runs a pulley which is out of alignment with the flow of the belt causing both the belt to break and the oil leak. Do you have any pics of the problem?
Part of the broken belt might have ruined the crankshaft oil seal, Serpentine belts don't just break. The cause needs to be found and all of the pieces of the old belt need to be removed.
