lots of things can cause overheating. if it is simple, like low fluid or a bad stat, its cheap, but if there is a deeper problem like a bad head gasket then you are really spending the money. If you really want to be careful, do a combustion leak test on the radiator. it will tell you if the head gasket is bad. the Kit is about 40 bucks and there are lots of youtube vids on how to do it.
