digital speedometer goes out

I have a 2001 crown vic with a digital insrument cluster . Sometimes the speedomete/odometer works , other times the speedometer just reads 0 . Hence leading me to get a speeding ticket . Is this an easy fix or a PIA ?

you may have to replace it you can check with your ford dealer to see if you can get a new one
