Did you replace the radiator cap? I've heard of the cap coursing just such a problem.

Check your coolant with motor idling, radiator cap off when still cold. When temp rises above normal, look in radiator (not overflow), coolant should be cycling. If not, then the thermostat isn't opening. Replace...

This car has a special air bleed procedure trapped air creates hot spots thus hot running. If it's fine driving, and overheats in traffic then the cooling fan or fan relay is junk

If you recently changed your thermostat, water pump, radiator or overflow coolant tank, recommend you purging the system. To do so, drive the car around the block (in order to warm up the engine) open the purge valve, located in front of upper intake manifold. If you then can't locate the purge valve, it's sitting right behind the upper radiator hose. Ensure you have a 10MM deep socket and loosen the valve (don't completely remove it) and remove the coolant reservoir tank cap (if engine is hot - be very careful of the pressure). once the air is purged out of the system, look a the reservoir tank and if coolant level is slow, ensure you add additional coolant.

Don't use clamps . Open bleed valve fill to no air. Pressurerise The cooling system for a bit while bleedvalve is open. Dog this 2-3 Times whit no air from bleedvalve. Close bleedvalve under pressure. Remove pressure. Fill a bit if nessesary. Then all your problems whit overheating should dissaper. My car 300M 3.5 LE never reaches higher than 90 degress. Try it. The 100% correct way is pressurerising the cooling system while filling coolant whit bleeding valve open. NO CLAMPS on hoses. ☺ Denmark.

try the things i wrote :) sorry my spelling. I made some changes and now it is on normal temperature 103 degrees , and it is running around 12 km pr liter. But my main problem was a cork in the system removed whit high pressure waterhose and a faulty termostat due to a faulty gasket from the camshaft. fixed. and a lot of pressurerised water tru the system to flush it out. The problem startet because of the airfilter had a layer on it so it coulden´t breath proberly. all new airfilters have it so remove it. :) But fixed and no problems anymore. It runs great today whit no problems what so ever. A reset of ECU is not nessesary but the gearbox a good idea. Before it denied 4 gear at 60 km/t but now 4 gear at 50 Km/t if you hold the speed. To reset the gearbox to learning again just follow same prosedure as mercedes do. It take a few minutes. :) Denmark :)

Only use dishwash to remove the layer and let it dry. Just put it in a bucket whit dishwasher soap and water for 10 minutes, don´t scrub just let it dry when you take it up again. :)

My particular vehicle has the Hemi engine. I'm to understand that there are relays that control the aux fan for Ac operation. Aux fan is not coming on when it should be! It will come on when engine is first getting up to running temperature then when the outside temperature is in the 90's + .Then temperature starts running up! And Ac stops getting cold!

The PCM is causing the overheating if you did everything else
