Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start up my Cadillac deville right
when it turns over, it jumps to the high revs
until it backfires and dies out. I replaced
the mass air flow sensor and reset the
onboard computer but it still does the
same thing

Some people have told me it could be the idle air control. Does anybody else think that.?

when I ran the diagnostics it came up as some wiring or mass air flow sensor
