High ideling

When I start up my Cadillac deville right
when it turns over, it jumps to the high revs
until it backfires and dies out. I replaced
the mass air flow sensor and reset the
onboard computer but it still does the
same thing

try looking for vacuum leaks. a vac leak will cause idle problems and could make the car die.

Sounds like there is a serious vaccuam leak some where. Check vaccuam hoses

Some people have told me it could be the idle air control. Does anybody else think that.?

when I ran the diagnostics it came up as some wiring or mass air flow sensor
