Why is my 2002 Mustang V6 overheating

My dads 2002 Mustang V6 overheats.
He already changed the thermostat. He
says the water goes doesnt go to the
engine. It goes to the reservoir but
doesnt make it back to the radiator.
Some have said its the reservoir and
some say its the radiatot. Anyone know
what it can be? thanks in advance

The reservoir is simply connected to the cooling system by a hose. If the hose is plugged up or damaged it needs to be replaced.

Test the radiator cap if it is malfunctioning the radiator fluid will blow out overfill the catch can and disappear onto the road. That causes a low coolant level and overheating of the engine.
