Do you have brake lights? If not check for a blown fuse, if fuses are good check the brake light switch for proper operation, if the switch is good then you most likely have a release solenoid failure. If you need to drive the vehicle look in your owners manual for the manual release procedure.

Can't shift out of park on my 2014 CTS parf.

Just take the negative capable off with the key turned forward..not in start position but next to start position, and you will hear a click.and a hum, and tight the negative cabable tight...get in and start it, and go take care of you !!!
