Is anything interchangeable with 2002 Ford Explorer

Looking for a shift lever for the transmission. We were told nothing is interchangeable. Would rather not pay for a
new one if possible. Any ideas? Title says it is Ford Explorer. No xlt, Eddie Bauer, or certain edition. 6 cyl. 4wheel
drive auto.

If not mistaken, 2002 was the year Explorers changed. Try looking forward in the model years. My 2003 repair manual covered years 2002 and 2003. The manual for my 1996 covered from 1996 to 2001.

what exactly broke then is very hard to break that lever are you sure something else isnt wrong
