Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys ive got a 1981 Lincoln Continental MK VI (5.0, ECCIII, non-vaccum DIST, TBI) that likes to steadily increase RPMs while idling in PARK, but noes nothing of the sort in any drive gear. There is an exposed vacuum line connected to the intake manifold, opposite the PCV hose, that has a strong suck. I have plugged it for now, dont know what to do with it. She also smokes white real bad from the exhaust pipe and under the hood/all around the block after a few minutes of running. I cant think of any more useful information, but id be more than happy to provide more.

White smoke sounds like antifreeze is entering the pistons, maybe just till warm and expanded to stop. Hows the water level holding? the contemned fuel and air mix will mess with the pcm to vary rpm. And no open vacuum lines are allowed
