what does it mean when my "hot temp low oil" light is flashing?

Could be the sensor.i had a 2000 chrysler sebring convertible and had the same problem.you might wanna have a good mechanic look at it

If this light was on in my vehicle, I would presume that the oil level was low and, while oil doesn't provide all the cooling for the engine, the oil does cool the engine a bit - the lack of oil may be making the engine run a bit hotter.. When you check the oil, try to smell it - if it is hot, you will smell a bit of a burnt smell.. Otherwise, and if the engine runs normal and oil level is ok, then I would agree to have the engine computer checked by a mechanic..
