Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, how hard is it to install an Automatic Belt Tensioner for a 1988 Baretta?  The part is around 50 dollars to purchase, but we don't know if it can be done by someone that doesn't have alot of Mechanical experience.  What are your thoughts?  Thanks, Sharon

Hello, This is a fairly difficult part to replace. I would highly recommend bringing the car into the mechanic. The part may not be expensive, but you may do further damage to your engine if you try to install it yourself and do not have the proper technical know-how. If you are worried about being overcharged by the mechanic, read this article before you go: http://www.ehow.com/how_7400_prevent-auto-repair.html Best of luck! CarGrrl
