my 2004 ford explorer has been sitting and not driven for a month due to illness. Now it will not start but the theft light is flashing. Battery is new. Please advise.

since the battery was completely dead now the antitheft system has to be reset im not sure how to go about it on 2004 but go to a ford forum you will find your answer there

Try another key. Also sometimes cell phones can effect the PATS system. Make sure you don't have a cell phone in you pocket and try again.
