I used the wrong key in my 2002 ford explorer, now I can get the correct key to start to vehicle, it will not turn the ignition switch.

I used the wrong ford key in my 2002 explorer, now the new key want turn the ignition, is there a waiting time for the anti-theft system to reset.

Disconnect the + battery terminal for about 2 minutes ... hook it back up and see what you have .... Good Luck

The steering wheel was locked, not the ignition, I was able to get the steering wheel unlocked and the vehicle starts now without problem.

06 explorer 4+4 4.0l right key all lights came on dash turned key heard relays engerize. problem inertie safety switch jumped 2 wires started right up
