typically new plugs, could also be the plug wire or coil pack. could also be a bad fuel injector, typically not cam or crank sensor or a vaccum leak vesulting in low compression

Yes it is saying misfire cylinder 1, I have replaced plugs and coil pack didn’t help the problem. It’s worse with ac on.

I have a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze. It had a P0301 engine code and the Stabilitrak light was on.The engine was running rough, no power and had to tow it. I had it towed to the dealership in Abbotsford, BC and it turns out that the #1 piston was cracked, the rings were fried into the piston. Apparently there is a software upgrade to prevent pre-ignition but I never got a recall. They replaced all 4 pistons, rods, bearings, new oil pan as it blew the other one, new front crank seal, new oil, new coolant. $3500 repair covered by warranty with only 70,000kms. GM are idiots. Why wouldn't they recall these cars to install the software update? My buddies kid has a Cruze. I asked the dealership if he should bring it in. The service guy said no, unless he's having an issue, don't bother. Well I wasn't having an issue either until the motor packed it in! Morons!! Then to top it off, GM wouldn't pay for the towing even though it was their fault!! No more Chevy's for me.....

I own a 2014 Cruze ltz rs had the same issues. The dealership gave me a insane quote just to inspect it so I ended up doing it myself. Basically it’s a $20 fix (Valve Cover Gasket)...... trust me I know sounds ridiculous but that’s your problem.
