I have a 3.0, 2003 saturn vue with intake manifold problems. Would it be better to replace the whole engine or not?

Dealer said bottom part of manifold was crack and can't fix. dealer got a used
one from Idaho and put it in approx. 1 month later lost power on freeway. Car
still runs but when the "Service" light comes on need to rest car for a while.
What can be done and how much would it cost to fix this problem?

Begin by... having it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.
