How hard is it to get Volkswagen worked on

Maintenance for a VW is like any other car. Repairs are also similar to any other car, more expensive than a Toyota, less than a BMW. For a newer car, I suggest you use dealer service. After the warranty period ends, find a good independent shop; they will be cheaper and more reliable.

I recommend finding an independent VW repair shop. The dealer will kill your budget, as with any European vehicle parts and labor will be more expensive than American or Asian makes.

I agree with both the above. While in warranty go to the Dealer. If something goes wrong you don't want to give them any excuses to deny a warranty claim! When the vehicle is no longer in warranty find a reputable shop that specializes in European vehicles. Don't take it to the corner gas station or garage and don't take it to a chain type of repair shop. They'll have no idea what they're looking at! My Nephew learned that lesson the hard way with his 98 BMW. Hope that helps! Jim
