okay iac is not a term I am familiar with what is that? Also I adjusted the timing today and it improved some but still not quite right. what are the ods of having more than one issue causing the same symptoms?

IAC,Idle Air Control,is located on throttle body, has 2 screws a pig tail plug, they get cloged with carbon, you can clean it with carb cleaner or replace it,eather eay dont push in on the prindle that is sticking out of it,the computer sets it.i would also check fuel lines for a leak sence you smelling gas.

Thanks for this. I cleaned it and found that there was a leak in the hose between the fuel filler neck and the tank. replaced hose no more gas smell. Also idling fine now
