Question type: Car Customization

Hey everyone I was wondering if I should use a
header or down pipe on my Hyundai Veloster
Turbo.

What are you needing those for? Performance? Efficiency? I don't own velosters so I can't speak for your car.. just curious.. if performance you want to improve airflow systems like air intakes and exhaust and higher performance radiators... make those more powerful... better performance.

Well I should have detailed the question better. I am getting an exhaust for my car and I have already done the cool air intake. I’m just seeing if I should do the headers or not. Like should I?

Headers don't do much for turbo cars. The down pipe can make some difference in certain applications, but tuning may be necessary.

If it were me I would leave it stock. You will likely not gain much unless you invest in a tuner and some custom tuning.

That was my plan after I get the exhaust and or down pipe. Getting A custom tune.

Tuning will only get you so far. I've had my Dodge Neon SRT dyno and tuned after the dyno testing and I still needed higher performance parts to get even better performance such as speed or horsepower or torque. Tuning adjust you air flow ratio.. gas ratios... how the engine operates per gear and numerous other things. Personally, I'd wouldn't wast money on particular enhancements just get the whole package all together.. then you won't run into problems later.
