Convertible top problems come down to one of two or three things. 1. Bad relay -- an electrically controlled top has a relay, used to be behind the back seat. When these pack it in, the top quits. 2. Bad switch -- sometimes. Usually not on a car that new, but continuity test the switch to see if it is working in all positions. 3. Bad motor -- rarely. These motors typically are overbuilt, and can torque the hell out of most anything. 4. If it is a fluid drive top, low fluid can sometimes be an issue. Your hydraulic pistons run on auto trans fluid. Check out www.convertibleservice.com or Hydro-E-Lectric for help with most convertible issues. Diagnosis is not terribly complex, but it is time consuming.
