i washed under the hood of my car and now it wont start. please help.

the car was running fine but it needed to be washed anyway i washed under the hood of the car and since then it wont start. I was told that the distrubiter cap may have got wet and would stop it from starting.but i was also told that my car doesnt have a distributer cap that it has coil packs instesd. someone please help me please
