2020 Honda Accord Hybrid

Asked by Guru9YX84H Jan 30, 2021 at 06:28 PM about the 2020 Honda Accord 1.5T Touring FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Same problem as everyone else on this discussion.
Humming seems to be prominent while coasting
between 45 and 55 mph. Left side. Will escalate with
Honda and report back.

When you coast in a hybrid the regenerative braking is charging the hybrid battery. Probably normal.

I posted the solution on another thread for my Honda 2020 Accord Hybrid (EX-L): -- if you haven't got yours fixed yet... here's my answer: I've been following this thread - I have a Honda Accord Hybrid 2020 (EXL) - - loved everything about the car except had the loud humming that came in intermittently at around 50-55mph -- you could stop it if you opened the window... reported the problem to my dealership service center here (Manly Honda in Santa Rosa, CA) back in Jan 2021 -- they also tried to replace ANC (active noise cancellation system)- no good.... finally they said they needed to replace the ANC - but with the 2021 part not the 2020... however - it has taken until now to be able to get the new part !! (delay due to world backlog of supply chain parts).. They put it in just today -- of course under warranty - noise is gone.

Take the car to your Honda dealer, and tell them to use Technical Service Bulletin 21-053.
