Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have only one brightness of headlights. I assume they are the low beams considering they are pretty dim. But my high beams & low beams have power to them when you check the plugs but when i flip my switch to change to high beams my lights turn off.

Also my high beam light is always on by my gauges. Even when my lights are off.

Please help.

the battery has to be newer than five...you must disassemble the chassis ground connection and make sure the chassis is getting ground for the headlights...this connection has a lug and a spot where the lug attaches...they are dis-similar metals...with every requirement of high- amperages a "blue spark" happens creating a layer of "semi-conductor" for the voltages to get through...after a while corrosion makes this difficult~
