Window won't go up. 99 sunfire gt

Jinxed. Car windiw went down and so t go back up.
Makes a noise when I push switch down...but not
up. Please tell me its nothing major. I'm already
having enough go wrong.

Could either be the motor or the switch as the first checks. Try swapping the wires to the doors and see if the problem moves to the other side. If it does, change the "up" switch. If the problem stays the same, put the switches back to the original positions and replace the motor. This will require removing the door panel and possibly drilling out some rivets that will either need to be replaced with new rivets or nut and bolt fasteners. The motor needs more power to push the window up than to lower the window - if it does not go up, it is likely the motor.
