why won't my 2002 Pontiac Sunfire start all the time?

I have a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire that starts 90% of the time.  It's not the battery.  I can go in somewhere and come back out like 10 minutes later and it cranks but won't actually start.  Not overheating.  thinking it's the starter.  need to know where the starter actually is on my car so that I can tap it to see if it needs a new solenoid.  Please help :)

Many times when the fuel pump is going out this will happen . I would recommend checking the fuel pressure next time right when it happens. If you are not getting any codes because a lot of cars will not show a bad fuel pump.

i meant to say that I also would clean up the battery cables this is the number one reason for cars towed in the world.
