what could cause my car to keep ovetrheating

replaced fan sensor and there is a clip plug in towards the front that i cant
figure where it plugs in at

You replaced fan sensor,so im assuming the fan,s were not working?And do they run now?Without seeing a picture of the plug that is loose would be hard to say,make sure the fans are running,then have the thermostat checked may be stuck,then if all is good,may need to have the water pump checked, last but not least,would be if you ran car hot you may have a blowed gasket.
