I have a 2002 Pontiac Aztek and am looking for the cross bars on the roof rack.
I have the slots but need the cross bars to carry my kayak.

I've seen plastic roof rack cross bars on a Jeep Cherokee so flimsy it was dangerous to put anything up there. So I got two 1x4 oak boards about four feet long, and drilled and bolted them to the vehicle's roof rails and it was ten times stronger. The whole deal was under $10 and well worth it.
