I have a 2003 Pontiac Vibe replaced the battery it turns but will not start. like it is not getting fuel. Autozone told me to buy fuel starter and spray it in the intake and it still will not start. Any help please

Have someone turn the key from off to on but do not try to start it just turn on to accessory. you go under car and put your ears by the gas tank under car (big plastic black tub). the fuel pump should turn on and makes a high pitch whining noise for a few seconds kind of like the sound an older digital camera lens makes when its telescoping out. if you hear nothing then fuel pump is not coming on and thats the problem area. post up if thats the case. if you DO hear it come on, it could still be clogged. try hitting it firmly but gently with rubber mallet or the like while someone else trys starting car. either of the two problems cannot be "fixed", the pump should be replaced completely. you can try rebuilding fuel pump but the price of new one isnt worth the trouble.
