Is it worth changing my block and wiring harness?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can't seem to find a motor that's the same as my car's. I have a 2003 sunfire, and the motor in it is an
eco-tech. I have not been able to find a motor to fit it around my location, but i have found a 1995 with a
2.2L in it. Is it worth buying this car for 250$ and replacing the block and the wiring harness? Or is it too
much work for a high school student, (under the supervision of my shop teacher who used to be an auto
mechanic, and my uncle who is an auto-mechanic), to take on? My motor is finished and will blow apart
within the next 10km I'm guessing.

I have an 05 with the L61 eco tech.. I was looking into the same thing until I saw the comma in the price and thats doing it myself. I myself am holding out for an engine that works with what is already there so I dont encounter future problems with the car. Not for nothing but the engine in the 95 may not have much life left due to its age..
