I have a 2004 ponitac aztek, decides when it doesnt want to crank.

new battery, new alternator, and changed fuel filter recently. It will run fine, and then decide it does not want to crank, jump it off and it will run. also there is a whining noise when i mash the gas. very annoying... anyone know what could be the issue? i dont have a lot of money right now, but need my vehicle. Thanks!

Sounds like a starter solenoid starting to fail. Make sure you have a good ground to the engine also.
