How do I replace the license plate light bulbs 06 Pontiac Montana

I need to replace the license plate bulbs. I removed two torx screws thinking the
bulb cover would drop out allowing access to the bulbs. No deal. Went to two
body shops and neither one of them had a clue on how to replace the bulbs.
The license plate bulbs and liftgate latch are covered by a piece of trip that
seems to be permanently installed.

there’s a piece of plastic inside the vehicle on the inside of the trunk, pry it out and you will have access to the bulbs. btw remove the grab handle first, the one on the inside.
