Fan not working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My fan has stopped working (in the winter of course) and I
don’t know why it won’t work. I push the button that turns
it on  and doesn’t turn on and I push the buttons where
the air comes from and still doesn’t work. I can hear
something moving when I turn it on but no air comes out.
If I were to take it to a dealer would it be expensive? If I
did it myself would it be hard?? Can someone help me
please?

did u check the fuses? could be the blower motor. depending on where it is at its simple to replace. usually can remove glove box and get to it from there worst case have to take dash out

I replaced the blower motor on my 2002 buick lesabre , it came with the entire plenum attached so that it would fit multiple vehicles , it was easier to just drill a few holes and install just the motor , so this piece of plastic that basically cost about $80** sits in my basement , go on line and get just the motor if you have to , and they had the nerve to call it "smart consolidation "

Sounds like the blower cage has come loose from the blower motor shaft. Do not know how hard it is to get to but if you can get to it may just need to reposition cage on shaft and tighten cage screw to shaft.
