Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my G6 decides that one day out of the blue to shut of entirely then wont start up so I realized that the battery died it. I hit the gas petal no acceleration and just dies we get the battery fully charged at a shop and try to get it back to the house on the way did the same thing. we had the alternator check and the shop said it was good. I really need help on this troubling issue.

Alternator may test good but, in my opinion, it shouldn't. Go through the wiring if you want, but I would just get a new alt.

Maybe the belt is loose or missing (broken). This would explain why the alternator would test good but it is weird that the tech doing the testing would not see this. Anyway, whatever current is being produced by your alternator is not getting to your battery. Check the wiring (both positive and negative) and look for loose or corroded connections.
