2006 Pontiac G6 Security Won't Reset

Asked by Hackurs Jan 05, 2019 at 09:40 PM about the 2006 Pontiac G6 Special Value 1SV

Question type: Car Customization

Hey guys, trying to get my G6 to start again. Broke the button to the
aftermarket remote start/PKE system I installed, and in the process of installing
the new one, drilled through the factory transponder coil on accident. Spliced
the ring back together, but car still won't start. Tried resetting, both long and
short versions, and tried a full bypass module, with no luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help!

It's a fleet vehicle, and I've learned that there isn't an actual PK3 system in the car. I confirmed this by dissecting a key. I'm looking for a pinout to completely bypass the module altogether. Is there a reason why I shouldn't do this, aside from bypassing the antitheft measure? I can also buy and replace the module, if needed.
