Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have pontiac G6 GT convertible. Car rides so well when its top down. But while I ride with
top up, it rattles when I ride on cracked roads / rail road crossing.. etc...  Please suggest

Thanks,

Rattles are best found with two people - one to drive the car, and one to crawl around and listen. You only hear it with the top up, but it might just be a noise somewhere else that gets drowned out by outside noises when the top is down. It's virtually impossible to diagnose without being in the car, sorry!

My G6 does this as well. The colder weather will make it appear worse. I have discovered that I can adjust the windows and the noise disappears. With the top up, take all windows down, raise the back ones up first then the driver and passenger. It almost appears to be a window gasket that isn't fitting properly. I first thought my top was not secure, the first time I heard the rattle. Try the windows, it worked for me.
