Smaller tire install

Asked by GuruXVJS5 Oct 16, 2018 at 07:33 PM about the 2000 Ford E-Series E-150 STD Econoline

Question type: Car Customization

Would like to install 215/60R16 tires on my Ford
Econoline 150 van which presently has 225/75R16
tires. How much will this lower the van and will it
affect the performance, and the look of the van?
Thanks

225/60-R18 tires are 2.47 inches (62.8 mm) larger in diameter than 215/60-R16 tires so it will drop 1/2 of that which is about 1 1/4" and the speedometer difference is 8.6%

handling would be worse so would braking and engine performance but mpg would icrease
