2006 e-350 transmission slip in o/d

one day on way home i was exiting the expressway when the truck seemed to lose power....hit the gas and tach jumped but no drive.....after i pulled over and tried to drive it went fine until i got to 15-20 mph, then same thing.....i can still drive without overdrive but mpg suffer....any suggestions

OD is burned up,wont be long before the tranny goes out,it burnes the clutches inside.

Od..is that over drive? If so can u replace the od without replacement of the tranu
